Making it easier for people with disabilities to find work

More than half of people with disabilities are unemployed, while the vast majority of them want to work. Think of the neighbour who cannot cope with many stimuli due to autism, the pupil from special education who needs a little more time to get a job done or the niece who occasionally has to close himself off to get his head back in order.

They, too, want to earn their own money, are part of it and are valuable in the workplace. State Secretary Tamara van Ark is sending a memorandum to the Lower House today in which she presents an elaboration of her proposal for the introduction of wage dispensation in the Participation Act.
